Operational technologies include industrial control systems (ICS), which are used to control and monitor critical infrastructure, e.g., the power grid, water treatment plants, and transportation systems. ICS are often designed to be isolated from the internet and other networks, but this isolation is no longer sufficient to protect them from attack.
