Executive Summary
The client is a multinational conglomerate and global leader that manufactures HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air-Conditioning), fire and security, equipment for delivering intelligent, safe, and connected building solutions. To comply with upcoming government regulations in industrial refrigeration which required field devices to have A2L/A3 gas leakage detection capability, the client required a secure, scalable IoT platform which could help in monitoring these devices remotely. The platform was expected to collect and analyze telemetry data such as temperature, humidity, and other such metrics from the field devices and deliver real-time alerts to end-users.
eInfochips leveraged EIC PROPEL™ which is the in-house accelerator platform, for developing robust Remote Monitoring Cloud Applications. It supports advanced Remote Device Management, Data, and enables Twin Visualization Platform which helps businesses effectively manage their connected assets. The platform was built on Microsoft Azure services and it enabled telemetry data ingestion to provide real-time data supported by advanced statistics and monitoring capabilities for remote monitoring of the field devices.
eInfochips also built a custom simulator which was scaled for testing over one thousand devices, to ensure readiness for large-scale deployments. To further enhance the operational efficiency, the application was enabled with features such as over-the-air updates, reboot, license management, site management, and device onboarding.
The solution provided by eInfochips helped the client by achieving a 6-month reduction in time-to-market, complete cybersecurity compliance, improved firmware readiness with a custom simulator codebase.
