The client is an American manufacturing company specializing in audio equipment. The client is best known for its home audio systems and speakers, noise-cancelling headphones, professional audio products and automobile sound systems. The client had a range of intelligent soundbar systems based on Qualcomm APQ8017 platforms. The entire product range was based on an outdated version of Linux. The client needed to migrate all the product variants to the latest Android version to enable latest features including additional security measure. At the same time, they also wanted to ensure that it is backward compatible, and it is scalable for future upgrades as well. They were looking for a partner who understands hardware/software integration and has expertise on Qualcomm platforms and related firmware and SDKs.

eInfochips took the complete ownership of BSP and firmware migration to latest Android version for all product variants. eInfochips also made sure that the updated firmware is compatible to Alexa Voice Service (AVS) security measures.
