eInfochips, an Arrow Electronics company and a leading provider of product engineering services, today announced the launch of the AIkri Ara240-8GB AI Accelerator SOM at NXP Tech Day, Stuttgart. Built on the NXP Ara240 AI accelerator, the module delivers 40 eTOPs of compute performance in an 80mm x 22mm m.2 form factor — making high-performance edge AI accessible to engineering teams across healthcare, industrial automation, robotics, automotive, and hi-tech applications.
The AIkri Ara240-8GB AI Accelerator SOM supports multimodal AI workloads — including CNN, Transformer, LLM, VLM, and VLA model architectures — across TensorFlow, PyTorch, and ONNX frameworks. With 8GB LPDDR memory, PCIe Gen4 x4 interface, and an operating range of -20°C to +85°C.
The SOM will be available to customers later this year through Arrow Electronics.
