System Level Verification & Validation (V&V) for Flight Controls and Horizontal Stabilizer

Executive Summary

The client, a US-based tier-1 aerospace supplier, was aiming to achieve time-bound compliance of ARP4754 concerning independent verification & validation (V&V) of flight control actuation systems and horizontal stabilizers. They sought a verification partner with prior experience in aerospace that could offer complete verification with robustness and limited test procedures.

Having worked on flight actuation systems for several clients, eInfochips provided system level V&V expertise based on an optimal hybrid model (onsite-offshore) with a “follow the sun” approach, enabling maximum utilization of hardware. For example, the offshore team could only access the hardware during night time when systems were idle, despite having to be surefooted in the verification approach.

The overall system verification exercise was achieved by eInfochips well ahead of time, that too at a fraction of the planned cost.

Project Highlights

  • ARP4754A compliant system verification
  • Test procedures for 20 unique modules
  • Customer defined controls
  • ARINC 429 compliant system
