The client is a leading American audio equipment manufacturer best known for its home audio systems, speakers, noise-canceling headphones, professional audio devices, and automotive sound systems. They have a wide range of smart speakers based on Qualcomm APQ8017 processor and Embedded Linux. The existing product line had limited features and the prospect wanted to migrate and upgrade to the latest Google Android version. They also wanted to ensure the Qualcomm custom chipcode is ported successfully. They were looking for a partner who can help them with kernel and firmware upgrades including validation and testing.

Leveraging strong expertise on the Qualcomm platform and SDKs, eInfochips took complete ownership of kernel upgrade entire product range. eInfochips successfully executed the upgrade while meeting Amazon’s AVS security requirement of a bare minimum kernel version.
