The client is an Oil & Gas division of a Fortune 500 American Manufacturer of industrial products, hardware, and security products, and headquartered in the USA. The company was looking for a solution for field asset tracking with GPS and WiFi in the harsh working environment of the Oil & Gas industry.

The aim was to continuously track the large oil and gas scanners in transit as well as during operation within a defined perimeter with asset alarm and tracking features.

In addition to that, the solution required to provide asset monitoring capability and handling of data, such as G-Forces experienced by the field assets to identify drops, mishandling or damage.

eInfochips developed a solution that was capable of operating between -40°C and +80°C temperature for tracking the field hardware and assets with an accuracy of 2-3 meters around the asset.
