The client is a US-based leading provider of state-of-the-art diagnostic tools for ultrasound imaging. The diagnostic tool provides exact medical imaging and diagnosis of multiple health conditions through its ability to produce detailed images and show processes in real-time and analyze the data.
The client encountered three major obstacles when trying to implement ultrasound at point-of-care because tablets had restricted power capacity and users struggled to link multiple probes at once and the system needed to meet essential safety standards for electricity and heat management and there were no market-available portable solutions which combined the power distribution with USB hub capabilities.
eInfochips developed a compact powerpack system which united a USB 3.0 hub with a power management functionality to execute the power and data functions simultaneously. The system operates with three probes which enable clinicians to move freely while maintaining patient safety through its single-probe activation system and provides 5V/3A power per port for a dependable medical device operation.
