3D Handheld Scanner Design

Executive Summary

The client, a leading provider of 3D technologies , identified eInfochips 820, which is based on Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 820 (APQ8096), as the most appropriate chipset for its 3D handheld scanner. It is a battery-operated, , fast scanning system that delivers high-quality 3D models, even in difficult lighting conditions. The client also wanted  to utilize eInfochips’ expertise to customize the eInfochips 820 hardware along with  firmware development.

After evaluating the client’s requirements, eInfochips captured all the functional and non-functional requirements and took the complete ownership of hardware customization; modified schematics, layout, and released updated Gerber files. eInfochips took the lead to provide ISP optimization support along with signal integrity simulations, testing (Bring up, Functional, EVDT), pre-scan testing of existing SoM, and related documentation.
