A Solution to Maintain an LRU

Description

Any hardware system to be installed in the aerospace system called the LRU (Line Replaceable Units) is made up of processors/controllers, memory, and different input/output peripherals. The system must be required to be configured or upgraded based on external parameters or customer preferences. Also, it should be able to monitor and diagnose the system when grounded.

The suggested solution aims to provide the following facilities to the maintenance personnel when the aircraft is grounded:

  • Displaying or updating configurations
  • Software/firmware upgrades
  • File extraction for log files
  • Firmware details, such as software binaries with their versions and part numbers
  • System diagnosis with detailed results.
  • Monitoring the health of different hardware components mounted in the LRU

Highlights

  • Maintenance Module
  • Maintenance Tool
  • Software Architecture On LRU
  • Interface Control
  • Messages From Maintenance Tool to Maintenance Manager
  • Messages From Maintenance Manager to Maintenance Tool
  • Maintenance Tool Architecture
  • Communication with Device
  • System Software/Firmware Upgrade
