Re-engineering of Respiration belt and Temperature probe

Executive Summary

The client is a market leader in data collecting software and laboratory equipment in the United States. The client Company offers interfaces, sensors, software, lab books, lab equipment, and accessories. They wanted to redesign their existing respiration belt and temperature probe since the microcontroller they were using had reached the end of its life (EOL). They were looking for an innovative partner with product re-design knowledge that can identify their existing microcontroller replacement, understand the requirements, keep the current features and mechanical enclosure design, and give the most feasible solution.

eInfochips proposed a new hardware design based on the Atmel SAM4X microcontroller architecture, utilizing its extensive product re-engineering experience. eInfochips took complete responsibility for the board’s redesign while keeping the current functionality and mechanical enclosure design.
