Deep Dive into EV Charging
Communication and
Safety Standards

Webinar Overview

The fragmented and frustrating nature of our current EV charging landscape has been widely — and correctly — cited as one of the most significant barriers to EV adoption. EV charging communication is rapidly progressing from siloed systems to a globally interoperable, secure, smart-charging ecosystem. Standardization of EV charging protocols is essential to ensure interoperability, scalability, and security across different EVs, charging stations, and backend systems. There are different types of standards for communication between vehicle-to-charger, charger-to-backend communication and also for safety, security and authentication. Their integration and timing requirements are the key challenges and designs considerations that one needs to consider for any EV charger design.
