Ganpat University Holds Orientation Program for the 1st Batch of EICFutureFit M. Tech (VLSI) Candidates

In March this year, eInfochips announced the launch of its EICFutureFit program and its first partner under the program – Ganpat University (GUNI). The orientation program for the first batch of students who have enrolled for the M. Tech. (VLSI) was held on 22nd August 2022 in Ahmedabad.

The M. Tech (VLSI) program is the first of a series of MCA and M. Tech programs that GUNI will run under the EICFutureFit partnership. These programs will be offered as Work Integrated Learning Programs wherein all selected candidates will be provided cutting-edge education to ensure that they are industry-ready when they graduate. eInfochips will contribute to the course design and bring an industry perspective to the skills in demand. The involvement of the firm’s senior technical leaders as faculty and mentors will bring industry-ready content and live case scenarios to the classroom. This approach will enable candidates to be equipped with the right skills for employability.

Candidates enrolled in the M. Tech (VLSI) course will have the opportunity to work on advanced lower geometry projects such as 7nm and 5nm as well as on semiconductor development for cutting-edge applications in IoT, high end data centres, artificial intelligence, cloud applications, avionics, and healthcare.

There is a huge demand for VLSI professionals in the country, with one study estimating a shortfall of over 250,000 VLSI engineers currently. Industry experts estimate that there are currently two job openings for every trained engineer in the country. The EICFutureFit program will also provide a platform to the talent from non-EC (Electrical, IC, PE, ICT) domains to transition to the VLSI domain.

Under this program, the candidates will not only receive a stipend followed, but they are also assured of a job in a leading firm even before they complete the course.

Ganpat University officials including Dr. Amit Patel, pro vice chancellor & executive registrar, Dr. Kiran Amin, deputy pro vice-chancellor & executive dean and eInfochips officials including Sumit Sethi, chief operations officer, Vijay Rane, vice president for human resources, and other team members were present to grace the event.
