The client is a global leader in the area of design and manufacture of avionics equipment and systems for commercial and military aerospace. The client has developed a next generation product, – a secure air-to-ground modular data transmission system with a dual CPU architecture for hardware-partitioned access. The product will enable wireless access to operational and maintenance data on the ground and also in flight, when connected to a satellite communication system.

The modular design consists of an airborne communication server, a wireless connectivity module, a remote media device and a ground-server software, creating a secure air-to-ground data transmission system. The airborne3 communication server has a scalable and flexible multi SOC solution with multi core, multi OS and advance security layer.

The client was looking for a partner with experience in multiple disciplines including DO-178C software, system verification and  embedded software. eInfochips helped with certification & verification of this communication server by developing a verification environment and framework design to support multiple LRUs with different hardware platforms and interfaces.
