Executive Summary

The US client chose NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX for their purpose-built retractable camper with smart home technologies. It features high-speed internet, touchless control, surround sound, and ultra-HD displays. The design includes an AI-enhanced edge computer and seven sensor units connected via Power over Ethernet (PoE). They sought an engineering partner for hardware, firmware, and mechanical support.

Leveraging strong device partnerships with NVIDIA®, Qualcomm®, and NXP, eInfochips provided support to the client by designing advanced electronic controls that manage the technological aspects of the recreational vehicle. eInfochips assisted in the complete hardware design of the sensor unit, which included sensor and camera selection, driver integration with auxiliary devices (such as USB-C outlets, sensors, LED strips, cameras, DC Motors, and smart film), and the development of interfacing systems between the edge computer and the sensor units. This involved selecting the power and data system for the entire ecosystem, as well as providing mechanical assistance for designing the enclosure structures. Additionally, eInfochips supported the manufacturing of prototype boards and facilitated the arrangement of necessary tests.
