Executive Summary
Safety systems play very important role in the mass adoption of next-gen automobiles like autonomous cars. Active safety systems prevents crashes or reduce the severity of a crash, while passive safety systems (seatbelts, airbags) protects car occupants during a crash. Active safety systems like forward collision warning systems, lane departure warning systems, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) etc. plays a huge role in smooth crasheless driving.
Our client saw an opportunity in engaging us for feature enhancement & code testing of these active safety systems. We assisted client for Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) system which automatically adjusts the vehicle speed to maintain a safe distance from vehicles ahead and Emergency Brake Assist (EBA) which enables automatic braking to avoid forward collision, if the driver does not respond appropriately. In addition, we also assisted for 3D environment model creation based on inputs from ADAS sensors.
