eInfochips Joins OCP-IP, To Offer OCP2.0 Compliant IP Cores And OCP2.0 eVC

PORTLAND, ORE - September 8, 2003 - Open Core Protocol International Partnership (OCP-IP), the association providing a common standard for intellectual property core interfaces, or sockets, that facilitate "plug and play" SoC design, today announced that eInfochips, a leading firm developing intellectual property cores, verification components and providing design & verification consulting services, has joined the organization.

In addition, eInfochips announced plans to make their IP cores OCP2.0 compliant providing the 'plug & play' benefit of OCP, enabling easy integration into SoC designs. Company is in the process of developing an OCP2.0 eVC using Specman Elite, to support verification of IP blocks and SoC designs for compliance with OCP. The OCP2.0 eVC will help substantially reduce the rising verification complexity of intricate SoC designs.
