NAND Flash Controller

NAND-based Flash memories have higher packaging density, less power consumption and are non-volatile in nature. eInfochips’ Generic NAND Flash Controller interfaces flash memories with host processor interface or custom (system) interface.

• All basic command support - Page Read, Random Page Read, Page Program, Random Data Input for Program, Block Erase, Read ID, and Read Status
• Low resource utilization - uses only one 1024 x 16 Block RAM for page caching
• High throughput due to ping-pong mechanism - maximum latency of initial 512 bytes
• Supports burst transfer in chunks of 512 bytes from custom interface
• 1-bit error detection and correction and multi-bit error detection for bad block management
