H.264 SVC is an amendment of H.264 AVC approved by the ITU-T Video Coding Experts Group (VCEG) and International Standards Organization (ISO) MPEG. Scalable coding consists of compressing a digital video into a single bit-stream in such a way that other meaningful and consistent streams can be generated by discarding parts of the original compressed stream
