- Studying and planning for module and
chip level verification
- Developing the verification components
and building verification environment for different modules of
the chip
- Developing test cases for different
peripheral blocks called audio out, coded data input, Flash/1394
Host interface module
- Verifying the above blocks and helping
designers in debugging.
- Developing tests for DVD bit streams
(Transport Streams) and Broadcasting streams (Program Stream)
- Assembly programming for testing of
DMA channel configuration, Memory controller and MIPS bootup/read/write
operations
- Developing self-diagnostics test cases
for efficient debugging on chip
- Contributing in chip and board level
verification
How was this achieved:
eInfochips achieved the task with four ASIC design verification
engineers over a duration of four months. The total effort was 16
man-months.
Conclusion:
The chip was successfully verified at block and chip level.
